How to Brew Palais des Thés Genmaicha
Steep one tea bag in hot water (160–170°F / 70–75°C) for 2–3 minutes. The lower temperature preserves the delicate green tea character while allowing the roasted rice notes to shine. Can be enjoyed hot or chilled over ice for a refreshing iced tea option.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Palais des Thés GENMAICHA YAMA JAPANESE GREEN TEA contain caffeine?
Yes, this blend contains caffeine typical of green tea—roughly 25–50mg per cup depending on steeping time. It's lower than black tea, making it suitable for afternoon or evening tea moments.
What makes genmaicha different from regular green tea?
This blend pairs Japanese green tea with roasted rice kernels (called genmaicha in Japanese tradition). The roasted rice softens the tea's astringency and adds a gentle, nutty sweetness that many find more approachable than pure green tea alone.
