What you get

  • 8% commission on the product total of a new customer's first order, after discounts. Shipping, taxes and gift card purchases are not included.
  • 30-day link tracking. If a new customer clicks your link and places their first order within 30 days on the same device and browser, the order is credited to you, unless they use another affiliate's link or code first. Links can miss orders placed on another device, so share your code too.
  • A personal discount code for your audience, so followers can use it even when a link isn't clickable.
  • Your own dashboard with clicks, orders and commission.
  • Monthly payouts for orders older than 30 days, once your approved balance reaches $25. Choose PayPal or Taste of Tea store credit in your dashboard.

Is it free to join?

Yes. There is no fee and no minimum number of sales.

Which orders earn commission?

The first order of a customer who is new to Taste of Tea, placed within 30 days of clicking your link or with your personal code. Repeat orders, gift card purchases, refunded or canceled orders, your own purchases and orders from other affiliates don't earn commission.

When do I get paid?

Once a month, for orders placed more than 30 days earlier, when your approved balance is at least $25. The wait lets returns and cancellations settle first. You can be paid by PayPal or in Taste of Tea store credit.

Do I have to say I'm an affiliate?

Yes. US rules require a clear note near your link or code, such as "I earn a commission if you buy through my link or use my code." On social media, put it in the post itself, where people see it without tapping "more" and not lost among hashtags. In videos, say it and show it on screen, and repeat it during live streams. A note only in your bio or the description is not enough.

What isn't allowed?

Posting your link or code on coupon, deal or cashback sites, paid ads on our name or on the brands we sell, spam, and price comparisons with other sellers. Health claims are not allowed either: don't say a tea treats, cures or prevents any condition or causes weight loss. Talk about taste, ingredients and how you enjoy it. These terms apply to everyone who joins the Taste of Tea affiliate program (the "Program"). The Program runs on GoAffPro. By applying, you agree to them.

1. Joining

  • We review every application by hand and may decline any application without giving a reason.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and give us accurate details.

2. What you earn

  • 8% commission on the first order of a new customer, placed within 30 days of clicking your referral link or with your personal discount code.
  • Commission is calculated on the product subtotal after discounts. It does not include shipping, taxes or gift card purchases.
  • Orders from customers who have already ordered from us do not earn commission.
  • Your own purchases, and purchases made by other affiliates, do not earn commission.
  • Your personal code gives your audience a discount on their order, currently 5% off. It can be used once per customer. We may change the discount amount. It cannot be combined with other discount codes.

3. Getting paid

  • A commission becomes payable 30 days after the order date, so returns and cancellations can be settled first. We remove commission from orders that are refunded, canceled or fraudulent.
  • We pay approved commissions once a month, once your approved balance reaches $25. You choose PayPal or Taste of Tea store credit (a discount code) in your affiliate dashboard.
  • You are responsible for your own taxes. US affiliates may be asked for a Form W-9 where the law requires it.

4. Tell your audience

US law (the FTC Act, as explained in the FTC's Endorsement Guides) requires you to disclose that you earn a commission, clearly and close to every link or code. For example: "I earn a commission if you buy through my link or use my code." On social media, put the disclosure in the post itself, where people see it without tapping "more", not only in your bio or the video description. In videos, say it and show it on screen. Plain words like "I earn a commission" or "#ad" work; "#affiliate" or "affiliate link" on its own may not be clear to your audience.

5. Not allowed

  • Posting your code or link on coupon, deal, cashback or rewards sites, or in browser extensions.
  • Bidding on "Taste of Tea" or on the names of the tea brands we sell in paid search or social ads, or using those names in ad copy, domain names or social handles.
  • Spam: unsolicited email, text messages or direct messages. Any email you send must follow the CAN-SPAM Act.
  • Health or medical claims: do not say that a tea treats, cures or prevents any disease or condition, or that it causes weight loss. Talk about taste, ingredients and how you enjoy it.
  • Claims about our prices compared with other sellers.
  • Misleading content, fake reviews, or presenting yourself as Taste of Tea or as one of the brands we sell.
  • Cookie stuffing, forced or hidden clicks, pop-ups, adware, or paying people to click or buy.
  • Promoting the Program on sites with illegal, hateful, violent or adult content.

If you break these rules, we may reverse commissions on the affected orders and close your account.

6. Photos and brand names

You may use product photos and descriptions from tasteoftea.com, and any materials we give you, only to promote those products on our store. Many product photos belong to the tea brands, and we may ask you to remove them at any time. Brand names and logos belong to their owners. Do not change them or use them in a way that suggests a brand endorses you.

7. Changes and ending

  • We may change these terms, the commission rate or the discount on your personal code. We will tell you by email or in your dashboard, and changes apply to orders placed after they take effect.
  • You or we may end your participation at any time. We pay commissions you earned before that date, unless they came from orders that broke these terms.

8. Our relationship

You take part as an independent contractor. Nothing here makes you our employee, partner or agent, and you cannot make commitments on our behalf. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you under the Program is limited to the commissions you have earned and we have not yet paid.
