Aprika Life Japanese Kyusu Set - Teapot with Filters (370ml) and Two Cups
$179.00
Aprika Life's Japanese Kyusu Set brings authentic tea ceremony into your home with a handcrafted Tokoname clay teapot and two matching cups. Crafted from premium clay sourced exclusively from Japan, this traditional kyūsu is designed to elevate every cup of green tea through superior heat retention and natural mineral infusion.
Tokoname clay is prized for its lower porosity and rich mineral content, which softens water and unlocks delicate flavor notes in Japanese sencha and other premium green teas. With each use, this teapot naturally reduces astringency while enhancing subtle sweetness—a benefit that deepens over time as the clay seasons. The artisan-made design features a comfortable side handle and elegant pouring spout that reflects centuries of Japanese craftsmanship.
Why You'll Love This Aprika Life Teapot
- Authentic Japanese Craftsmanship: Handmade by skilled artisans using traditional Tokoname Yaki techniques
- 370ml Capacity: Perfect size for brewing multiple infusions without waste
- Included Cups: Two 120ml ceramic cups for immediate use—no separate purchase needed
- Enhanced Flavor: Natural clay minerals soften water and amplify tea's natural sweetness
- Heirloom Quality: Improves with regular use; a lasting addition to any tea collection
To preserve the teapot's flavor-enhancing properties, rinse with water only (avoid soap, which can be absorbed into the porous clay). Reserve this kyūsu exclusively for green tea to prevent flavor interference.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is included in the Aprika Life Japanese Kyusu Set? The set contains one 370ml teapot and two 120ml cups, ready to use out of the box.
- How should I care for the Japanese Kyusu Set teapot? Rinse with hot water only after each use. Do not use soap or dishwashers, as soap absorbs into the clay and affects flavor. Allow it to air dry completely between uses.
- Is the teapot suitable for other tea types? This kyūsu is optimized for green tea. While it can technically brew other teas, using it exclusively for green tea prevents flavor contamination and maintains the seasoning process.
